Volunteering


College and University Placements


The Theatre is able to offer placement opportunities to suit college and university students. Students are asked to commit to a minimum of 3 months and offer a minimum of 4 hours each week. Placement opportunities currently include; marketing, digital marketing, front of house, technical theatre and administration. Genuine projects and experience is available.

 



If you are interested in either work experience or our placement schemes please complete both the recruitment monitoring form and the application form, supported with a covering letter outlining your interest.

There are so many ways that you can be part of the Kings - from Ushering to Admin, Restoration to Publicity. If you would like to come and join in the fun, we welcome new members on a regular basis and any contribution, no matter how small will be gratefully received.

Chloe says “The Kings is an amazing place to get involved. I came in as a student on a years placement in July & after 3 months I feel right at home. Being here for a whole year will give me valuable work experience and I feel that I will be able to go back to University next September with more confidence in getting a good degree and knowing a lot more about myself and my future”

   Jenny says "I have been volunteering at the Kings for a few months and have really enjoyed the challenges and opportunities it has offered me. I have been able to expand on my skills learnt at university by creating a page for the brochure, and had the chance to be involved with exciting new projects such as the Artist Studio which will be an excellent experience for me in my future career."
