The Kings Theatre is proud of its education team and is confident that education will continue to thrive at the Kings Theatre as it is embedded within the shows, activities and events that we host throughout the year. The enthusiasm of a younger audience is something the Kings Theatre treasures, as we know children are keen to explore new and exciting ideas. We also cater to more senior audiences by providing tours for local community groups and off-site talks.
We have a great range on offer from the Kings Youth Theatre (running during school term time) for budding stars of the future, Little Limelight Lovers – our monthly pre-school sessions for the smallest members of our audience and also our adult learning programme which runs successful one off events and workshops.
We also organise our popular holiday activities programme including our Summer and Technical Schools as well as our Annual Open Day which takes place every January. As an Arts Award Centre we are able to qualify students aged between 11-25 years old who are interested in the Arts as an interest or entering the profession.
Whatever your interest and educational need, we are happy to accommodate you, your family, school or college or local community group.
In recent months we have established closer links with Charter Academy, Park Community School, Springfield School, MADD Productions and Manic Stage Productions in this Autumn/Winter 2011 We will be reporting in the near future about the projects and activities we are involved with them.
We are actively seeking new schools and organisations to collaborate with in delivering workshops and tours catering for the differing educational needs across the city. If you are interested in working with us or visiting the Theatre then please do not hesitate to contact us via the Education Visit Booking Form or the contact details below.
