The Kings Theatre is proud of its education team and is confident that education will continue to thrive at the Kings Theatre as it is embedded within the shows, activities and events that we host throughout the year.
Our aims are to;
- Provide a creative environment to foster young talent
- Increase self confidence through involvement and performance
- Enrichment to the school curriculum
- Support life long learning
- Provide a focus for our community

We have a great range on offer from the Kings Youth Theatre (running during school term time) for budding stars of the future, Little Limelight Lovers & Aspire Dance Stars – our monthly pre-school sessions for the smallest members of our audience. We also cater to Adults by providing tours for local community groups and off-site talks. Our adult learning programme runs successful one-off events and workshops throughout the year.
We also organise our popular holiday activities programme including our Summer and Technical Schools as well as the Annual Theatre Open Day which takes place every January. As an Arts Award Centre we are able to qualify students aged between 11-25 years old who are interested in the Arts as an interest or entering the profession.
For Schools & College Groups - we can provide theatre, backstage and curriculum based tours for all Key Stage Levels. Extend your visit with a tailored workshop and work experience opportunities for your students (selected periods only). Organise a Visit today for your Educational, Social or Community Group. Please do not hesitate to contact us via the Education Visit Booking Form or the contact details below.
Whatever your interest or educational need, we are happy to accommodate you, your family, school, college or local community group and we look forward to welcoming you to the Kings Theatre in the near future.
