Accessibility and Services
The theatre opens one hour before the performance time. The Kings Theatre is committed to improving accessibility for all our patrons. Assistance Dogs are welcome, please inform Box Office in advance.
Unfortunately the theatre cannot accommodate Mobility Scooters. If you wish to travel to the theatre in a mobility scooter, the vehicle cannot be left in the theatre during the show and therefore will have to remain outside the building
Transferring from a wheelchair:
If patrons wish to transfer from a wheelchair into a seat, this can be accommodated as long as, in the unlikely event of an emergency, the person can exit the building without the use of the wheelchair.
There are two public disabled parking bays situated just along from the Albert Road entrance.
• Wheelchair and level access to the Stalls via the Albert Rd entrance
• Wheelchair spaces located in the Stalls (spaces cannot accommodate Mobility Scooters)
• Infa-red hearing amplification systems are available on request for Stalls and Dress Circle
• Disabled toilet facilities
• Carer’s rates available on many events – please ask at Box Office for details. Please note proof of carer must be shown.
Please note: Wheelchair spaces are not available to book online. This is to ensure that all customers accessibility requirements are met.
Please contact Box Office to book.
Our bars are open one hour before the performance. The Matcham Bar, at the rear of the stalls, has level access from the Albert Road entrance. We recommend that you order your interval drinks on arrival.
Only alcohol purchased on the premises may be consumed within the theatre. We regret that any
alcohol purchased on the premises may not be taken outside the building. Glasses and glass bottles may not be taken into the auditorium at any time. We do however provide plastic tumblers for your convenience!
The Kings Theatre is a no-smoking Building, this include the use of e-cigarettes; a smoking bin is provided outside the main entrance.
