Joanna trained at University of Portsmouth, gaining BA Hons in English and Creative Arts. The performing arts have always been a big part of Joanna’s life securing the lead roles in numerous productions Terry Pratchett’s Guards! Guards! (Theatre Royal, Bury St. Edmunds), Kiss Me Kate (New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth) as well as participating behind the scenes Guys and Dolls (Stage Manager, New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth), Joanna’s professional life has continued to reflect this; Youth Theatre Co-ordinator for Portsmouth City Council’s Arts Service, Arts Award Advisor and Youth Theatre Co-ordinator, Kings Theatre, Southsea as well many volunteer positions with community arts projects.
