Hello, I am Jet Gloudemans and I am an eighteen-year-old Student from the Netherlands learning to become a theatre technician. I am studying towards a B-tech in Eindhoven and I am now currently in my third year. As part of my course I am currently participating in a technical internship at the Kings Theatre!

 

I arrived here in January with my parents and after getting settled, we went to the Pantomime. This was really strange for me as we don’t have pantomime in the Netherlands, but I really enjoyed it!

 
The people at the theatre are really nice and have helped me settle into theatre, especially with theatrical terms and with the English culture.

 

Why did I choose to come to come to England? I wanted to experience working in a theatre in a different culture, to improve my English and be thrown in the depth (a Dutch saying for go for it!) At first it didn’t really matter which theatre, but now I have been here for 2.5 months and I have made the best choice of them all by coming to the Kings Theatre!
