A cavalcade of motorbikes arrived at the Kings Theatre yesterday as the First Night Riders came to town.
The riders are raising funds for the Theatrical Guild and are touring to different theatres across the UK over four days. They started from The Royal Albert Hall in London and have taken in seven venues across the Southwest of England from Bristol and Bath all the way down to Lands End and then to Portsmouth.
The Theatrical Guild was founded in 1891 by a group of actresses and was originally called The Ladies' Theatrical Guild but husband and wife team, David and Brenda Edelstein, decided to give it some focus by starting an annual motorcycle tour in 2010. The group consists of theatre technicians, architects and consultants who are all into motorbikes and motor vehicles of various kinds.
