The enthusiasm of a younger audience is something the Kings Theatre treasures, as we know children are keen to explore new and exciting ideas. So, this year we’re offering schools free drama workshops and a tour of our wonderful theatre when schools or youth groups make a group booking for selected shows.

The purpose of these workshops is to offer a wide-ranging knowledge of theatre, as well as focusing on drama and acting as a way to discover, learn and improve confidence.

The workshops are 2 hours long and will be a chance for the children to explore the themes and motives of the characters in the show, then to be followed by a 45 minute tour of the theatre.

The maximum no. of children per workshop is 20.
